Uprooted was born out of the drive to connect East African communities in the diaspora. The goal is to have real conversations about the journey of rerooting in a foreign land and sharing how we experience the world. It has since transformed into a space for self-exploration, community organizing/advocacy, cultural preservation, and innovation.
